How to Implement Cohesive Plan
Tactics for a PR campaign are essential tools needed to bolster and provide a client with the necessary actions for exposure and success. Yet, the question of tactics is, do they make sense?
In creating a cohesive plan, one must understand their tactics as ingredients to a recipe. The cohesive plan comes together when planned content and events are related to each other and provide an overall experience for all those involved.
What to Budget For?
If anything should be strikingly clear in any PR campaign, its budget.
Without a budget, there is no campaign.
In my opinion, you must always budget for two majors things: your pay and your emergency. There should never be a reason that a PR professional should lose out or pay out of pocket. Additionally, you should expect the unexpected and keep a form of contingency reserve.
For our client, we created a budget that looked at our internal needs first. From there, based on the tactic, we looked at all potential vendors and talent we needed and compared their prices based on the market value and optimal success they would achieve.
This approach lets us create a market of possibilities while also being aware of the cost and success.
